Job Vacancy | Lead NDT Engineer (AUT & RT) Sinopec – Ratawi Field, Basra, Iraq Sinopec is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Lead NDT Engineer (AUT & RT) to join its team at the Ratawi Field Project in Basra, Iraq. Position: Lead NDT Engineer (AUT & RT) Location: Ratawi Field – Basra, Iraq Nationality: Open to Iraqi and Non-Iraqi Candidates Required Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in NDT within Oil & Gas projects. Strong and proven experience in Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) for pipeline and riser projects, including procedure and equipment qualification, system verification, production inspection, field application, and review and approval of AUT results. Strong experience in both AUT and Radiographic Testing (RT) for pipeline and riser projects. Extensive experience in Welding Inspection, WPQT/PQT, NDT coordination, and Quality Management. Experience in supervising and coordinating NDT contractors and working closely with Client, TPIA, QA/QC, Engineering, and Construction Teams. Strong knowledge and practical application of relevant international standards and specifications, including ISO, ASME, API, and DNV. Qualifications & Certifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Valid NDT Level III certification in accordance with ISO 9712, ASNT, or equivalent – Mandatory. AUT Level II certification is highly preferred. Excellent written and spoken English. Important Note Proven practical experience in AUT for pipeline projects is an essential requirement for this position.
