Role: Commercial & Marketing Manager Location: Karbala, Iraq Employment Type: Full-Time Interview Mode: Virtual / Onsite (based on candidate location) Visa: Sponsored for expat candidates Salary & Benefits • Salary: Negotiable (based on current/last drawn) • Annual Leave: 45 days/year • Air Tickets: 4 round trips/year • Working Days: 6 days/week (8 hours/day) • Accommodation: Provided (within airport compound, including food & laundry) • Health Insurance: Provided (within Iraq) • Public Holidays: As per company policy Role Overview Responsible for driving airport revenue, managing commercial operations, and building strong marketing strategies across airline and non-airline businesses. Also supports airport readiness before launch. Key Responsibilities Commercial & Revenue • Develop strategies to increase airport revenue • Manage partnerships with airlines, retailers, and service providers • Handle contracts, pricing, and commercial agreements • Identify new revenue opportunities • Track performance and manage budgets Marketing & Branding • Lead marketing campaigns and brand positioning • Support airline route development • Manage digital marketing, PR, and promotions • Work with tourism and travel partners Passenger Experience • Improve customer experience and satisfaction • Monitor service quality and passenger behavior • Align commercial activities with airport operations ORAT (Airport Readiness) • Ensure all retail and commercial areas are ready before opening • Finalize tenants and contracts • Support testing and smooth launch operations Stakeholder Management • Maintain strong relationships with partners and tenants • Ensure compliance with agreements Team Leadership • Lead and manage the commercial & marketing team • Set targets and drive performance Requirements Education • Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Aviation, or related field • MBA (preferred) Experience • 5–12 years in commercial/marketing roles • 3–5 years in a managerial role • Experience in aviation/airport industry preferred Skills • Strong negotiation and business skills • Knowledge of airport revenue streams • Good communication and leadership skills • Data-driven decision making Languages • English: Required • Arabic: Preferred Certifications (Preferred) • ACI / AMPAP / IATA related certifications
