Expat Paramedic

Job Vacancy: Expat Paramedic Company: Emergency World Company for Medical Services and Health Insurance LTD (WECO) Location: Basra, Iraq (remote oil & gas sites) Employment Type: Full-time, rotation basis (8 weeks on / 4 weeks off) This position is subject to contract award. Position Overview WECO is seeking an experienced Expat Paramedic to join our medical team supporting remote-site operations in Basra. The role covers pre-hospital and on-site emergency care, trauma management, and support for occupational health and emergency response activities. Key Responsibilities • Provide emergency medical care, trauma management, and life-saving interventions • Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate clinical documentation • Support site physicians during emergencies and routine clinical care • Maintain readiness of emergency equipment, medications, and consumables • Implement and participate in the Medical Emergency Response Plan (MERP), drills, and incident response • Support First Aid training and health awareness activities • Comply with HSE standards and WECO medical procedures Mandatory Requirements • Degree or Diploma in Paramedicine / Emergency Medical Services • Minimum 5 years of clinical and pre-hospital emergency experience • Current paramedic registration/licence in home country • Valid AHA BLS and ACLS • Valid ITLS or PHTLS • Fluent spoken and written English Preferred • Remote-site or oil & gas deployment experience • Knowledge of occupational health and HSE procedures • Experience in emergency drills and incident preparedness What We Offer • Rotation: 8 weeks on / 4 weeks off • Round-trip flights every rotation, covered by WECO • Site accommodation and meals • Medical insurance and work visa arranged by WECO How to Apply Send your updated CV, copies of licence and certificates, passport copy, and earliest availability to m.hadi@weco-iraq.com with the subject "Expat Paramedic" by 15 October 2026.
