We are hiring: Senior Logistics Officer Company: Al Riyad Group Company for lighting solutions, smart systems, and fire protection systems. Location: Baghdad, Iraq Department: Operations Reports To: Operations Manager Qualifications: 1 - Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, Commerce, or a related field 2 - Minimum 5 years of proven experience in logistics and international import operations, preferably within trading, distribution, or importing companies 3 - Strong hands-on experience managing and tracking international shipments to Iraq through sea, air, land, and multimodal transportation 4- Strong practical knowledge of Iraqi customs procedures and ASYCUDA, including customs clearance and following shipments through to final release 5- Proven experience dealing and coordinating with international suppliers, shipping companies, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and local transport providers 6- Strong knowledge of import and shipping documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, Certificates of Origin, customs, and banking documents 7 - Experience coordinating with Procurement and Finance Departments, including Purchase Orders, shipping terms, Incoterms, supplier documentation, and payment-related requirements 8 - Ability to independently monitor shipments from supplier readiness, booking, and shipment through arrival, customs clearance, and final delivery, while maintaining accurate shipment records and reports 9 - Strong ability to monitor and negotiate freight and logistics costs, including Demurrage, Detention, Storage, and other additional charges, with a focus on cost control 10 - Very good to excellent English communication skills, with strong negotiation and professional correspondence abilities, in addition to good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems Working Conditions: 1 - Working Days: 6 days/week 2 - Working Hours: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM To apply and for more information about the position, please use the link below: https://lnkd.in/dbvpZpwG
