Job Purpose • Creates, amends and delivers dnata training programmes for employees, ensuring all standards are met and aligned with the dnata training matrix. • Manages a training programme through a combination of systems, processes and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and the requirements of the applicable dnata training standards. • Directs and controls all activities related to the delivery and management of training for the designated area of operations, ensuring resources are available to meet endorsed requirements. • Manages the local application of My Learning Zone, the dnata Learning Management System. • Conducts regular quality assurance activity to ensure consistent delivery of approved programmes, accurate training records and ongoing adherence to training standards. • Identifies and monitors training needs across the organisation, and designs, plans and implements training programmes, policies and procedures to meet them. • Demonstrates training leadership through planning, direction, and aligning and sharing best practice with dnata businesses, departments and service providers. • Acts as a coach and mentor to the wider training team as appropriate. Accountabilities • Facilitates trainee progress to ensure competencies are achieved. • Ensures department training nominations meet the criteria for training, including prerequisites, performance and business needs. • Provides accurate and timely communication with internal customers and vendors, and coordinates training support such as materials, venue bookings, equipment and transport. • Liaises with departments on their training requirements, helping collate and document needs for specific areas and advising on existing training solutions. • Creates and updates training records promptly so line departments can monitor training performance regularly. • Prepares and distributes pre-course study material where appropriate, and follows up with attendees or their line departments to maximise attendance. • Conducts Training Needs Analysis with line management to measure training effectiveness and ensure service standards are met, using data including safety incident records and customer complaints. Analyses the data, provides feedback to line management and recommends new approaches or training programmes to improve the business. • Maintains and tracks the validity of the training matrix, ensuring all staff remain current and are notified well before a course expires. • Reviews existing training programmes and recommends enhancements to improve engagement, learning and retention, and to meet the changing needs of clients, the organisation and the industry. • Ensures training materials and programmes are current, accurate, effective and aligned with global training materials. • Maintains knowledge of new training methods, techniques and requirements applicable to the organisation and industry, and identifies operational changes or industry developments that training could address. • Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions. • Works with vendors and third-party training providers to register employees for external training programmes. • Ensures training milestones and goals are met within the approved training budget. • Oversees the daily activities of training associates. • Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations. • Leads the team as manager and process owner for the function, ensuring the team is competent and trained to perform activities per their job descriptions. • Develops and implements action plans to drive improvements in collaboration with Quality and Safety Specialists. • Follows company safety and security procedures. • Holds health and safety duty of care in the workplace. • Reports any hazards, injuries, ill health, near misses, process deviations, unsafe acts, faulty equipment or damaged infrastructure to their supervisor or employer. • Cooperates with the employer on health and safety requirements in the workplace. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Practical & Technical Knowledge • Bachelor's degree in Training, Education, Human Resources or an equivalent field • 4–6 years' experience in airport operations, including 2–3 years in a related field • Minimum 2 years' experience in training and development management (essential) • Proven track record of developing and delivering successful training programmes • Proficient knowledge of airport operations • Advanced IT and computer literacy skills, including MS Word and Excel Role-Specific Qualifications Or Licences • Train the Trainer certification • Management of Training certification or equivalent Soft Skills, Communication & Influencing Skills • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication • Advanced English • Leadership • Teamwork • Problem solving • Initiative • Motivation • Work ethic Note: Candidates may include an updated CV with their application.
