Electrical Engineer

Location: Baghdad – Abu Ghraib (Al-Awsat Chips & Food Factory) Employment Type: Full-Time Al-Awsat Company is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our engineering and maintenance team at our manufacturing facility in Abu Ghraib, Baghdad. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee and maintain the electrical systems, automation (PLC), and control panels across automated food production and packaging lines. • Execute scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance for industrial machinery, motors, VFDs, and power distribution systems. • Troubleshoot electrical faults rapidly to minimize line downtime and maintain maximum operational efficiency. • Monitor industrial power sources, generators, transformers, and electrical safety systems. • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers and production leads to ensure smooth daily shop-floor operations. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial/factory environment (prior experience in food manufacturing or automated production lines is a strong advantage). • Solid expertise in PLC systems, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), control panel wiring, and reading electrical schematics. • Strong problem-solving skills and readiness for field-level maintenance work. • Based in Baghdad (proximity to Abu Ghraib/Karkh side is preferred).
