About the Company Almotakamila Flexible Packaging is an Iraqi manufacturing company based in Baghdad, providing flexible packaging, printing, and prepress solutions for customers across various industries. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Assistant to support material testing, quality control, and laboratory operations at our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will assist in evaluating raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality specifications. This role requires practical laboratory experience, accurate documentation, and a strong commitment to safety. Location: Baghdad, Iraq Employment Type: Full-time, on-site, and can work as a night shift Key Responsibilities • Perform laboratory testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished flexible packaging products according to approved procedures. • Prepare, identify, and maintain samples, ensuring traceability and proper storage. • Conduct physical and mechanical tests, including tensile strength, coefficient of friction (COF), thickness, seal strength, and haze, as required. • Support quality control testing of packaging films and materials, including BOPP, CPP, PE, and PET. • Record test results accurately, prepare reports, and promptly communicate deviations or nonconforming results. • Assist with routine equipment checks, calibration activities, and preventive maintenance according to established schedules. • Coordinate with quality and production teams to investigate material defects and production issues. • Support product development trials, material evaluations, and process improvement activities. • Maintain laboratory records, equipment logs, and testing documentation. • Keep the laboratory clean and organized, and follow procedures for handling materials, chemicals, and waste. • Follow laboratory safety requirements and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Qualifications and Requirements • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum three years of relevant experience in a materials testing laboratory. • Good practical knowledge of laboratory equipment, sample preparation, and material testing •
