Role Description The Electrical Engineer role at BIM.krd is a full-time, on-site position based in Erbil Governorate, Iraq. This role involves designing and reviewing electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects, including power distribution and low- and medium-voltage installations. The Electrical Engineer will prepare drawings, specifications, and calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, supporting procurement with technical input, and assisting in project planning and execution. The role also includes troubleshooting electrical issues on-site, performing inspections, and providing technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering, including the ability to develop detailed plans and technical documentation. • Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Electricity and Power Systems, with an understanding of system reliability, safety, and efficiency. • Candidates should possess experience in Power Distribution, including load analysis, panel schedules, and coordination with mechanical and civil disciplines. • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. • Experience with relevant design and calculation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or similar tools) is preferred. • Familiarity with international and local electrical codes and standards. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. • Ability to work on-site in Erbil Governorate and to visit project locations as required.
