Account Manager

Position: Senior Accountant / Accounting Team Location: Baghdad, Iraq Company: Al Sweer International Experience Required:Minimum 6 years in accounting and finance Experience in ERP systems : Odoo Key Responsibilities: - Oversee comprehensive accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. - Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and tax filings in strict adherence to Iraqi regulations. - Develop and implement robust internal financial controls and accounting procedures to maintain compliance and efficiency. - Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support strategic business objectives. - Collaborate with senior management to provide insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations. - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement. - Oversee tax calculations, coordinate audits, and liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities. - Optimize accounting systems and ensure seamless integration with our ERP system. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly desirable. - A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a preference for candidates with backgrounds in HVAC/Refrigeration, trading, or manufacturing industries. - In-depth knowledge of Iraqi tax laws, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and relevant financial regulations. - Proficiency in ERP systems or similar accounting software ( ex: ODOO, SAP) - Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities. - Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing accounting teams.
