Air Traffic Controller

Role: Air Navigation Services Director Location: Karbala, Iraq Type: Full-Time (FTE) Visa: Company-sponsored for expatriates Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Air Navigation Services Director to lead and manage Air Traffic Control (ATC) operations at Karbala International Airport. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant air navigation services while overseeing ATC, CNS, AIS, and Meteorology teams. Key Responsibilities • Oversee Tower & Ground ATC operations. • Ensure compliance with ICAO and aviation regulations. • Manage ATC, CNS, AIS, and Meteorology teams. • Lead safety, risk management, audits, and incident investigations. • Coordinate with airlines, airport operations, and authorities. • Support airspace modernization and operational improvements. • Manage budgets, KPIs, and team performance. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Air Traffic Management, or Engineering. • 12–18 years of ATC experience. • 5+ years in a leadership role. • Valid or previously held ATCO License. • Strong knowledge of ICAO, ATC operations, and CNS/AIS/MET systems. • Fluent English (Arabic is a plus).
