Internal Audit-Junior Specialist

Job description: Job Title: Internal Audit – Junior Specialist Company: ASG. Location: Duhok Overall objectives of the Job: To support the Internal Audit team in conducting financial and operational audits across Sardar Group companies, ensuring compliance with policies and current legislation. The Finance Junior assists in analyzing data, identifying discrepancies, and preparing findings to improve operational efficiency and internal controls. Tasks and Responsibilities: • Work with company branches to research and solve problems, suggesting improvements to policies and procedures in line with legislation. • Survey assigned functions and activities to determine operations and adequacy of control systems. • Assist in determining audit assignment procedures, including statistical sampling and IT usage. • Identify and document key control points of financial systems. • Perform audit assignments professionally, in accordance with the approved “Audit Program” and “Working Papers.” • Analyze, evaluate, and suggest improvements to internal control systems and technologies. • Record, review, and interpret data to determine operational effectiveness. • Research discrepancies, operational problems, or other irregularities. • Examine records, reports, receipts, or documents and compare them to company assets and liabilities. • Report branch strengths and weaknesses to Audit Management, providing advice for corrective actions. • Present findings to auditees for discussion and draft reports for senior auditors’ review. • Compile findings in written and verbal formats to share with the auditing team and Audit Manager. • Maintain awareness of industry trends, technology, and compliance requirements. Job Requirements: • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. • Minimum 2 years in a relevant auditing, sales, or after-sales field. • Knowledge of industry best practices, financial policies, and current regulations
