Housekeeping Supervisor

Role Description The Housekeeping Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Babylon Rotana in Baghdad Governorate, Iraq. This position oversees daily housekeeping operations, including assigning work schedules, inspecting guest rooms and public areas, and ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently maintained. The role involves coordinating with the housekeeping team and laundry staff, monitoring inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, and reporting maintenance issues promptly. The Housekeeping Supervisor supports training and performance coaching for team members, promotes safe working practices, and ensures compliance with hotel policies and quality standards. The role also requires regular interaction with guests and other departments to address service requests and contribute to an excellent overall guest experience. Qualifications • Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task delegation, and performance monitoring. • Hands-on housekeeping experience with knowledge of room cleaning procedures, public area standards, and hygiene protocols. • Experience with laundry operations, including handling linens, managing laundry workflows, and maintaining equipment care standards. • Customer service and communication skills to respond to guest requests professionally and coordinate effectively with colleagues. • Ability to organize workloads, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced hotel environment. • Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation regulations within hospitality settings. • Previous experience in a hotel or resort housekeeping leadership role is highly preferred. • Basic computer skills for using housekeeping management systems and reporting tools. • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs. • Relevant vocational training or certification in hospitality or housekeeping is an advantage.
