Shift Team Leader

Location: Baghdad – Abu Ghraib (Al-Awsat Chips & Food Factory) Employment Type: Full-Time (Shift Basis) Al-Awsat Company is seeking a dynamic and field-oriented Shift Team Leader to manage shop-floor operations at our manufacturing facility in Abu Ghraib, Baghdad. Key Responsibilities: • Lead, supervise, and organize shift operators and factory labor to achieve daily production targets. • Monitor automated manufacturing and packaging line operations, ensuring mechanical reliability and smooth performance. • Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues during operations and collaborate closely with the maintenance team to minimize unplanned downtime. • Enforce strict adherence to food safety standards, hygiene policies, and workplace safety rules on the line. • Track shift KPIs including output volumes, material wastage, and labor attendance, submitting clear shift handover reports. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory). • Minimum of 2–4 years of proven supervisory/leadership experience in a factory environment (prior food manufacturing experience is a strong advantage). • Solid technical understanding of mechanical systems, conveyors, drives, and machinery layout. • Strong leadership, conflict-resolution, and shift-management capabilities. • Based in Baghdad (preference given to candidates near Abu Ghraib or the Karkh side).
