Production Planning Manager

Role Description The Production Planning Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Baghdad, responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily production planning activities. This role includes developing and maintaining production schedules, coordinating with production, procurement, and maintenance teams, and ensuring that raw materials and resources are available to meet delivery commitments. The manager monitors production performance, identifies bottlenecks, and adjusts plans to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high quality standards. Additional responsibilities include analyzing demand forecasts, preparing reports for leadership, enforcing safety and compliance procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the production workflow. Qualifications • Strong expertise in Production Planning and Production Schedules to ensure efficient and timely operations. • Demonstrated experience in Production Management and Planning within manufacturing or packaging environments. • Solid Analytical Skills for interpreting data, forecasting demand, and optimizing resource utilization. • Proficiency with planning and ERP software, production reporting tools, and basic MS Office applications. • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and manage priorities under time constraints. • Knowledge of quality standards, safety regulations, and lean or continuous improvement methodologies is highly beneficial. • Previous experience in flexible packaging, printing, or similar production environments is an advantage.
