Head of Finance

Summary To manage and oversee the company’s finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, compliance with applicable regulations, and efficient execution of finance processes. The role supports business decision-making through reliable financial analysis, reporting, and operational improvements. Key Responsibilities • Manage daily finance operations, including accounting transactions, reconciliations, reporting, and financial controls. • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Coordinate financial closing activities and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities in coordination with business units. • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities to support business requirements. • Ensure compliance with Iraqi tax regulations, regulatory requirements, IFRS standards, and internal finance policies. • Support internal and external audit activities and ensure proper documentation and audit readiness. • Review financial processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. • Support implementation and enhancement of financial systems, ERP solutions, and reporting tools. • Lead, supervise, and develop finance team members to achieve operational objectives. • Provide financial analysis, reports, and insights to support management decision-making. • Collaborate with other departments, banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities when required. Competencies • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred. • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Iraqi financial regulations, and corporate finance principles. • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and financial tools. • Strategic financial thinking and business acumen • Strong leadership and team management skills • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities • High integrity and attention to detail • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Education Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree, MBA, or professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage. Experience Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations. Experience in a large corporate environment; telecom industry experience is preferred. Language • English • Arabic • Kurdish
